The goal of the College of Medical Sciences (CoMS), which is connected to Kathmandu University, is to establish itself as a premier provider of high-caliber, reasonably priced medical education. The General Medical Council of Great Britain (UK), the Medical Council of Sri Lanka, and the Medical Council of Nepal all fully recognise it.
Maintaining the highest standards of medical education, ethics, and professionalism in a multi-professional setting is the specialty of CoMS, a medical college in Nepal that has received MCI approval. Our commitment is to creating outstanding physicians and medical scientists by utilising innovative teaching and training approaches.
In addition, we actively support individual learning by offering multiple chances to obtain clinical experience, which helps the government fulfil its obligation to serve the community.
Through research, innovation, and the development of the best possible health care delivery systems in Nepal, we hope to improve and standardise medical education and healthcare services in that country.
The College of Medical Sciences' current physical facilities were designed to give students the best learning environment possible in the nation. These include multi-story, spacious lecture halls that are state-of-the-art and well-ventilated, a library, laboratories, seminar and tutorial rooms, a media lab with a computer-based learning centre, and all of the basic, clinical, and post-doctoral departments—as well as all OPDs—are equipped with air conditioning.
Hospital for Teaching
The COMS Teaching Hospital, opened by the charismatic current Chairman & CEO Mr. Nagender K. Pajapati, was a watershed moment in the organization's history. This has combined clinical experience with state-of-the-art diagnostic facilities to completely transform the healthcare landscape in this area. The centre of the College's clinical teaching activities is the Teaching Hospital of the College of Medical Sciences. a 1050-square-foot facility equipped with the most advanced CU and OT technology in the area.
Collaboration on a national and worldwide scale
The college has been coordinating and working with a number of national educational institutions, including the B.P.Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital, the Bharatpur Govt. Hospital, and the B.P.Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan.
Additionally, the college maintains connections with the Armed Forces Research Institute of Medical Sciences (AFRIMS) in Bangkok, Thailand, as well as the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh.
